Former Burnout developers are going through tough times.
Three Fields Entertainment, founded by former developers of the Burnout series, has announced the launch of a Patreon page to keep the team together and continue supporting their racing sandbox Wreckreation. The game, released in October 2025, received many negative reviews due to technical issues and lack of content at launch, leading to commercial failure.
In early December, studio head Fiona Sperry published an emotional post on her business social network page, in which she announced that the entire staff (about 10 people) had received notices of possible layoffs.
To avoid closure, Three Fields launched a page on Patreon. Maintaining the team requires about $65,000 per month. The studio openly admits that the coming months will be decisive.
