Marvel Studios has unveiled the first teaser for the movie \"Avengers: Doomsday,\" currently being shown exclusively in theaters. The trailer is entirely dedicated to Chris Evans' return to the role of Steve Rogers in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The teaser shows Rogers returning to the house where he lived with Peggy Carter after the events of \"Avengers: Endgame.\" He looks over his old costume, followed by a scene in which the hero holds a baby, directly indicating that Steve has a child. The trailer ends with the title: \"Steve Rogers will return in 'Avengers: Doomsday'.\"

The wording of the title is noteworthy in that it uses the hero's name, not his superhero alias. Thus, Marvel Studios once again emphasizes that Rogers is no longer Captain America. This status was passed on to Sam Wilson in the finale of \"Avengers: Endgame\" and закреплён in subsequent projects, including the series \"The Falcon and the Winter Soldier\" and the movie \"Captain America: Brave New World.\"

Previously, there were rumors that Chris Evans would return to the MCU not as Captain America. In particular, insiders suggested that the character might appear as Nomad — an alternative identity of Rogers. However, this is just one version so far.

Over the next month, Marvel will release three more teasers that may confirm or deny previous leaks. The studio plans to show one trailer per week before major premieres, including \"Avatar: Ashes and Fire.\"

The premiere of the movie \"Avengers: Doomsday\" is scheduled for December 18, 2026.
