David Szymanski's underwater horror has reached mobile devices.
Iron Lung, a short underwater horror game by independent developer David Szymanski, known for DUSK and Gloomwood, has been released on Android. The game was first released on PC in March 2022 and has since received 92% positive reviews from Steam users.
Iron Lung takes place entirely inside a cramped, one-person submarine nicknamed "Iron Lung." The player must blindly navigate an ocean of blood on a distant moon, photographing marked points and trying not to fall victim to an unknown threat lurking in the depths.
Due to the pressure at great depths, the submarine's porthole must remain closed, so navigation relies on an incomplete map, proximity sensors, beeps, and a primitive external camera. It is used both for completing tasks and for obtaining blurry, low-quality images of the environment.
Iron Lung is available on Google Play for 159 rubles. It is also known that a film adaptation of the game is in the works, scheduled for release in 2026.
