Bones' "Gachiakuta" Anime Renewed for Second Season
The anime based on Kei Urana's manga will return with a new season. The announcement came immediately after the finale of the first season.
Studio Bones has announced the production of the second season of the anime "Gachiakuta," based on the manga of the same name by Kei Urana. The announcement followed immediately after the release of the final episode of the first season, which took place today, December 21. The author of the manga celebrated the news with an illustration, and the graffiti designer of the project, Hideyoshi Andou, prepared his own work in his signature style.
"Gachiakuta" combines elements of social drama, action, and science fiction. The story tells of a young man named Rudo, who grew up in the slums of a floating city, where the rich dump garbage into a giant Abyss. After being falsely accused of murder, Rudo is sentenced to exile down into the world of waste, where garbage comes to life and turns into monsters. There, he joins the "Cleaners" organization and tries to uncover the truth about himself and the origin of the monsters.
The release date for the second season has not yet been specified.
