NetEase is shutting down another game based on the Marvel license.
NetEase Games has officially confirmed the upcoming end of support for MARVEL Mystic Mayhem - a team-based tactical RPG based on the Marvel universe. The developers announced that the production of new content will officially end on April 1, 2026, but users will be able to continue playing until the complete shutdown of the servers, which will be announced at least 60 days in advance.
According to NetEase, in-game purchases will be gradually disabled starting from December 25, 2025, and all remaining players will begin to receive thank-you rewards.
The studio also plans to release several upcoming story updates. In early 2026, new characters will appear in the game - Jean Grey, Venom, Wolverine, Cyclops, and others, as well as the final chapter of the story campaign, which is scheduled for release in January.
This will be the second closed NetEase Games title based on the Marvel universe in recent years. In June 2024, the studio shut down the MOBA Marvel Super War, which lasted five years. Mystic Mayhem, apparently, will not even last a year.
