According to insider Jeff Sneider, actress Emma Mackey, known for the films "Barbie" and "Emily," may get one of the key roles in the upcoming X-Men reboot, which is being developed by director Jake Schreier.
In The Hot Mic podcast, Sneider, answering a question about the future of the franchise, advised listeners to "take a closer look at Mackey," without specifying which character she might play.
The insider did not provide additional details. At the same time, the comment came about a month after another well-known insider (MyTimeToShineHello) reported that Marvel Studios was allegedly looking for "famous actors" for a new film about mutants.
Schreier himself, who previously directed "Thunderbolts*," confirmed back in August 2025 that he had started working on the project. However, Marvel still does not disclose official details about the cast and plot.
The release date for the X-Men reboot has not yet been announced. At the same time, sources agree that the premiere will take place after the release of "Avengers: Secret Wars," which is expected at the end of 2027.
