Persona series fans have been waiting for news about the next numbered installment for almost a decade — and it seems they will get it.
Atlus is preparing a series of events for the 30th anniversary of the Persona franchise, which will be celebrated in 2026. This was announced by producer and studio director Kazuhisa Wada in an interview with the Japanese publication 4Gamer.net as part of the annual developer survey.
«Persona will celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2026. As a token of gratitude to all the fans, we are preparing a wide range of global initiatives, so please look forward to it! We will also have opportunities to talk about future developments for the series. Preparations are in full swing, and the entire Atlus team will do everything to generate interest in Persona. We hope for your support!»
Wada did not name specific projects, but the wording about «future developments» immediately attracted the attention of fans, who have long been waiting for news about the next numbered part of the series.
Separately, producer Atsushi Nomura noted that Atlus received «great support» from the audience regarding Persona 4 Revival. According to him, the studio hopes to share additional information about the project later, but he also did not specify any deadlines or details.
