Details about the release date and team composition have not yet been revealed.
The anime "Undead Unluck" has officially been renewed for a second season. This was announced by David Production, known for "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure". The continuation was confirmed immediately after the release of an hour-long Christmas special episode adapting the winter arc of the manga.
To celebrate the announcement, the author of the original manga, Yoshifumi Tozuka, presented a festive illustration with the character Shen and thanked fans for their support. Which team will be in charge of producing the second season has not yet been specified — neither the director, nor the screenwriter, nor even the approximate release dates have been revealed.
The plot tells the story of a girl named Fuko, whose touch brings misfortune. One day she meets Andy, an immortal man. Together they become involuntary allies and try to understand the nature of their powers, while getting into all sorts of troubles.
The first season of "Undead Unluck" started in the fall of 2023 and ended in the spring of 2024. A total of 24 episodes were released. Since its premiere, the series has received many positive reviews for its expressive direction and successful balance between action, dark comedy, and drama.
