Fans continue to refine their favorite game.
Recently, the NIGHT WOLVES team announced the cancellation of their mod-remake Mafia II: Final Cut. However, there is another similar fan project, Mafia II Extended Edition.
This version includes various fixes, beta textures, and improvements, such as an updated interface and a working taxi system.
The developers showcased three winter chapters of the mod:
A public demo version of Mafia II Extended Edition is planned for release on January 29.
[...] we will show our work on four chapters of the original game. These are the chapters: Home Sweet Home, Enemy of the State, Murphy's Law, and The Buzzsaw, in which various cut moments and missions will be added. The chapters themselves will have new cutscenes, locations, characters, mechanics, as well as voice acting by the original actors from the Mafia 2 dubbing. The game will also feature other gameplay improvements. Trunk interaction, weapon license, working subway system, melee weapons will be present in the demo version of the mod.
