Not all of the developers' ideas made it to release.
The developers of the Resident Evil 4 remake at one point planned to add a prologue in which players would have to play as Ashley.
The content was cut from the final version of the game, but certain fragments remained in the files. Modders reviewed the materials and were able to restore part of this prologue.
It was assumed that Ashley in the prologue ("chapter 0") would explore the surroundings of the village.
At some points, animation triggers are activated: for example, Ashley starts running in fear. Modders were not able to fully explore the location — there are also triggers installed here to launch cutscenes, and their activation leads to a crash.
