Saw and John Wick have previously had game adaptations.
New games based on the Saw and John Wick franchises are intended to be announced soon.
Media outlets took notice of a statement by the chairman of the board of directors at Lionsgate. Last year, during a discussion of a financial report, Adam Fogelson, answering a question about intellectual property monetization, stated:
We look at each opportunity [for franchise monetization] individually. There are many risk-free licensing deals, but in certain cases we are ready to invest [...] Our capabilities in the field of AAA games and other gaming projects related to John Wick, Saw, and several other franchises that we will talk about soon, open up new perspectives [...]
Talks and rumors about the creation of new game adaptations of these franchises have been circulating for several years. Previously, games based on Saw and John Wick have already been released — Saw: The Video Game (2009) and John Wick Hex. Both are no longer sold in digital services.
