The beginning of 2026 brought bad news for gamers: support for the online functions of three games will end in January.
The most notable closure is Anthem from BioWare and EA. The game, which was removed from sale in August 2025, will stop working on January 12, 2026. Since Anthem was created exclusively as an online project, it will become completely unavailable on all platforms after this date, including the story mode.
Warlander will be shut down on January 20 — a free-to-play combat game that failed to maintain a sufficient audience. And on January 30, EA will shut down the NBA Live 19 servers, officially ending the game's nearly seven-year history.
An exception is WWE 2K24: its servers were supposed to close in January, but the publisher has moved the date to the end of March 2026. At the same time, the game and all DLC will be removed from digital stores by the end of January.
The trend continues: Project CARS 3 will join the list in February.
