Amazon has officially revealed the full cast of the Tomb Raider series, which is being developed by Phoebe Waller-Bridge. The lead role of Lara Croft will be played by Sophie Turner, and she will be joined by Sigourney Weaver, who played an original character named Evelyn Wallis — a mysterious woman seeking to use Croft's talents for her own purposes.
Among the other project participants:
- Martin Bobb-Semple (Pandora) — Zip, Lara's technical specialist.
- Bill Paterson (House of the Dragon) — Winston Smith, the Croft family butler.
- Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter) — Atlas de Mornay, Lara's uncle and a potential antagonist.
- Sasha Luss (Anna) — Sasha, Lara's rival.
- Paterson Joseph (Wonka) — Thomas Warner, a high-ranking official.
- Celia Imrie (The Thursday Murder Club) — Francine, a department head at the British Museum.
- John Heffernan (Dracula) — David, a civil servant unwittingly drawn into the events.
- Jack Bannon (Pennyworth) — Jerry, Lara's pilot.
- Anjana Vasan (Halo) — Georgia, a curator from the British Museum.
- August Wittgenstein (The Crown) — Lucas, a tomb raider connected to Lara's past.
The series will be the first project in the major Tomb Raider universe that Amazon is working on alongside a new film and a game from Crystal Dynamics. The premiere date and plot details have not yet been disclosed, but filming for the series starts as early as January 16.
