At CES 2026, Lenovo unveiled an updated version of the Legion Go 2 handheld console, which will come pre-installed with SteamOS.
This is already Lenovo's second device based on SteamOS: the Legion Go S went on sale earlier, but now we are talking about a full-fledged flagship with top-tier hardware and an OLED display.
The technical specifications remain the same. At the heart of the system is an eight-core AMD Ryzen Z2 Extreme (Zen 5 + Zen 5c architecture), up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X-8000 RAM, and an SSD with a capacity of up to 2 TB. The screen is an 8.8-inch OLED with a 144 Hz refresh rate and 500 nits brightness. The battery capacity is 74 Wh.
The company is confident that the combination of hardware and Valve's operating system will allow the new Legion to gain audience recognition. However, the main question is the price. The Legion Go 2 model with SteamOS will go on sale in June 2026 starting at $1199, which is significantly more expensive than the Steam Deck OLED, but Lenovo initially positioned the Legion Go as a line of devices for enthusiasts.
