The arcade MOBA BarbarQ 2 from BBQ Studio has officially launched on Android devices. The release took place on January 6, and in the first 24 hours alone, the number of installations on Google Play exceeded 100,000. Meanwhile, the iOS version has not yet appeared in the App Store — the developers promise to announce the launch later but have not disclosed the reason for the delay.
BarbarQ 2 continues the concepts of the original BarbarQ, which became a hit with over ten million downloads. The new installment focuses on even more dynamic and chaotic gameplay: battles take place in a 3v3v3 format on arenas with random events and various modes.
BarbarQ 2 also features a clan system: players can build their own settlements, recruit warriors, explore islands, and develop their village using gathered materials.
The launch version features 13 heroes that can be unlocked with in-game gold. Each character possesses unique abilities and fighting styles, while a new rune system allows for further skill customization to suit individual playstyles.
In addition to mobile devices, BarbarQ 2 has pages on Steam and the PlayStation Store — the release on PC and consoles will likely take place later, though the timing has not yet been revealed.
