According to industry sources, NVIDIA's GeForce RTX 50 SUPER line has been postponed indefinitely. Until recently, the "green team" planned to introduce updated models in the first half of 2026, but the company's priorities are increasingly shifting towards artificial intelligence and corporate solutions.

The main reason is the workload of production lines. The capacities that were previously distributed between gaming video cards and server products are now almost entirely used for the production of chips for the Rubin platform. NVIDIA announced this project just a few months ago, but has already moved it into mass production, ahead of initial plans by more than six months.

An additional factor is the shortage and rising prices of memory. In the current environment, new video cards would be too expensive for the mass market, as NVIDIA would have to significantly overpay for memory, which would affect the final cost of the product.

The third reason sources cite is the lack of strong competition. AMD is also in no hurry to release new video cards or update the current line, which means NVIDIA is not under pressure and sees no need to accelerate the release.

Given that the next generation of GeForce RTX 60 video cards, according to preliminary data, should be released in the second half of 2027 and will also be based on the Rubin platform, some analysts believe that video cards with the SUPER index in the RTX 50 line may never appear.
