AMD to postpone RDNA 5 until late 2027. The company is waiting for NVIDIA's RTX 60 series - insider
AMD may postpone the launch of video cards based on the RDNA 5 architecture to the end of 2027. According to rumors, the timing depends on the release of the NVIDIA RTX 60 series.
Insider Keplerreported that RDNA 5 was originally planned for 2027, but will almost certainly be released after the RTX 60 release.
Another source, Kopite7kimi, indicates that the RTX 60 is expected to launch in the second half of 2027. In this case, the release of RDNA 5 may take place only by the end of the year, and the official announcement - at Computex 2027.
Earlier leaks noted that AMD is preparing a flagship GPU with an AT0 configuration and 96 computing units, which will be a direct competitor to NVIDIA's top-end video cards.
Insiders emphasize that AMD prefers to first evaluate NVIDIA's strategy before determining prices. The company has already used a similar approach in the past generation, betting on more aggressive pricing relative to the RTX 50 series.
