Assetto Corsa EVO to Send Players to Eifel: First Teaser of Free Roam Mode
After a quiet period last year, Kunos Simulazioni has announced that the Eifel Free Roam mode for Assetto Corsa EVO will be released in 2026. As part of the announcement, the studio released a teaser showcasing the current stage of development.
In the video, the player completes a race on the track and waits for the data, after which the camera zooms out to show a large complex. It then shows various locations of the Nürburgring: a castle on a hill, wind turbines among dense forests, and night city streets with detailed lighting. There are NPCs in the open world engaged in everyday activities, as well as wildlife.
The teaser ends with a high-speed ride through the open world, emphasizing the scale and density of the environment.
Kunos Simulazioni promises the "most accurate recreation" of the Eifel - a highland region in western Germany, where "every road is designed to make any car feel perfect on it." Exact release dates for the mode have not yet been announced, with details planned to be revealed in the coming months.
Assetto Corsa EVO is available on Steam in early access.
