Forbes magazine drew attention to the complete disappearance from the information field of the heroic shooter Highguard, pompously presented at The Game Awards in December.

Since the announcement, Highguard has had virtually no online activity. The game's official social media account (about 6.2 thousand subscribers) has not published new messages, and no trailers or previews have appeared on the YouTube channel with 1.4 thousand subscribers. Given that there are two weeks left before the release of the game, such silence from the authors seems strange.

Forbes believes that the game has been postponed. The developers could have reacted to the extremely cold reception from the audience: almost all Highguard trailers received a like-to-dislike ratio of approximately 1 to 10, not in favor of the game. Perhaps the team needs time to reconsider the strategy and try to change the perception of the project, although critics note that it will be difficult (if not impossible) to radically change the very essence of the game in a short time.

It is also assumed that Wildlight could have spent almost the entire marketing budget on the very fact of showing in the final of The Game Awards — the most noticeable advertising slot of the year, which ultimately played against the project. Others believe that the game may be released in a "shadow release" format without active advertising, relying on the name of the developers who previously worked on Apex Legends and Titanfall.
