Jensen Huang, whose fortune has increased by almost $100 billion since the beginning of the AI boom, demands an end to criticism of artificial intelligence.

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang has sharply criticized artificial intelligence critics who, in his opinion, are excessively exaggerating and harming both the industry and society as a whole.

Over the past couple of years, amid the AI boom, Huang's fortune has increased by almost $100 billion. However, talk about the possible risks of technology - from displacing jobs to increasing total surveillance - the NVIDIA director considers not just wrong, but frankly destructive. According to him, the"doomer narrative", promoted by respected experts, has already done serious damage to the perception of AI.

Huang stated that the constant discussion of the existential threats of AI does not benefit anyone: neither people, nor businesses, nor states. He is particularly annoyed by industry representatives who appeal to the authorities to tighten regulation and introduce mandatory protective measures. According to Huang, such initiatives may be aimed at"strangling startups" and consolidating the advantages of large players under the guise of caring for security.

Huang states that the prevalence of apocalyptic forecasts scares investors, but does not explain how increasing investment in AI infrastructure makes technologies safer.

When 90% of the rhetoric is devoted to the end of the world and pessimism, I think we are scaring people away from investing in AI, which makes it safer, more functional, more productive and more useful to society.
Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA.
