Korea needs to actively implement AI, allowing one person to do the work of hundreds of specialists.

Shift Up CEO Kim Hyung-tae has made a statement in support of using artificial intelligence in the gaming industry.

At the national briefing on the "South Korea's 2026 Economic Growth Strategy," Kim Hyung-tae stated that AI is a necessary tool to compete with major players, primarily China, on a global level.

According to him, China has an overwhelming advantage due to its vast workforce and employs a tactic of"mass offensive", throwing colossal human resources at projects. To counter this, Korea needs to actively implement AI, allowing one person to do the work of hundreds of specialists.

Hyung-tae emphasized that the widespread use of AI will not lead to mass layoffs, but rather will help maximize the use of all available personnel and make each employee more productive through the use of AI tools. Only in this way, he believes, will small-population countries like South Korea be able to compete with the industries of the US and China.
