404 "Game of the Year" Awards: Clair Obscur Reaches Second Place in History

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 surpassed The Last of Us Part 2 in the number of "Game of the Year" awards and rose to second place in history. The JRPG from Sandfall Entertainment is now second only to Elden Ring.

The calculations are being done by a user on the ResetEra forum. Clair Obscur has been recognized as the game of the year 404 times by various media outlets. This is 370 awards more than Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and 379 more than Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Expedition 33 surpassed The Last of Us Part 2 by almost 90 "Game of the Year" awards. The record of Elden Ring remains 31 awards away — the FromSoftware project has 435. It is not yet known whether the game will reach this mark by mid-January.

The ResetEra rating only takes into account publications with multi-platform coverage, regular publications, and collective editorial selection. Some media outlets are not included in the list, but, according to the community, this does not distort the overall picture.
