Black Thief Stealth Action Relooted Gets New Release Date Trailer
According to the authors, the heroes don't steal, but return what white people stole from Africans.
Nyamakop Studio has announced that its fantastic stealth action game about black thieves, Relooted, will be released on February 10 on PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) and Xbox Series X|S.
Players take on the role of Nomali and her team — ordinary citizens from various African countries who decide to "bring home" artifacts illegally held in Western museums.
For Nyamakop CEO Ben Myres, the concept of Relooted has a personal nature. In 2017, he and his mother visited the British Museum.
We came across the Nereid Monument, which was dismantled and reassembled brick by brick in London. My mother was shocked to see how an entire fragment of history was simply taken away in such a barbaric way. She turned to me and said, "Maybe your next game should be about this?"
In total, Relooted features 70 real existing artifacts that represent historical and spiritual value for the peoples of Africa. Each artifact is securely protected, and to get to it, the heroes will have to use their unique abilities and ingenious devices.
