ASUS has confirmed the cessation of production of the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti video card — one of the key models in the mid-range segment of the new generation. This was announced by company representatives in a conversation with the authors of the Hardware Unboxed channel.
According to ASUS, NVIDIA has effectively curtailed the release of the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti, creating an artificial supply shortage. The company clarified that NVIDIA refused to comment on the possible resumption of production, from which ASUS concluded that the model had essentially reached the end of its life cycle. This has already led to a noticeable shortage and price increase, and in the near future the card may disappear from sale altogether.
But the changes in the lineup do not end there. The next step, according to sources, will be the gradual curtailment of production of the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti in the version with 16 GB of video memory. The released capacity is planned to be redirected to the production of a version with 8 GB.
There have been no official comments from NVIDIA on this matter yet, but the information from ASUS coincides with previously appearing rumors about the redistribution of production resources within the RTX 50 line.
