The God of War series adaptation for Prime Video has received another notable addition to the cast. According to Deadline, Teresa Palmer has joined the project — she will play the role of Sif, the goddess of fertility and Thor's wife.
Palmer is best known for the series "A Discovery of Witches," where she played Diana Bishop, as well as the films "Hacksaw Ridge" and "Warm Bodies."
It was also previously announced that Ryan Hurst ("Sons of Anarchy") will play the role of Kratos.
The series' plot adapts the Scandinavian saga of God of War, starting with the 2018 game. The story tells of the journey of Kratos and his son Atreus, who set out to scatter the ashes of Atreus' deceased mother.
Along the way, the heroes encounter Scandinavian gods, which leads to an escalating conflict. At the same time, Kratos tries to teach his son to be a warrior and a god, while Atreus teaches his father to be more human.
The project is headed by Ronald D. Moore, who serves as the writer, showrunner, and executive producer of the series. The premiere date has not yet been announced, but it was previously revealed that the show will receive at least two seasons.
