Toho Animation has posted the creditless version of the opening for the second season of the anime Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. The musical theme is the song "lulu" by the band Mrs. GREEN APPLE, who previously collaborated with Toho Animation on the second season of The Apothecary Diaries.
Visually, the opening is structured as a metaphor for Frieren's path. In the first part, the protagonist is shown alone, then during her first journey with Himmel and their companions. Towards the finale, the video "comes to life," reflecting her new journey with Fern and Stark and her internal changes—the ability to find joy in life and people.
The premiere of the second season took place on January 16. Currently, one episode has been released, and new episodes will be released every Friday. The season is expected to consist of 10 episodes in total.
