As expected, following NVIDIA, reports have emerged that AMD is revising its video card production priorities.
According to the ProHardVer portal, AMD intends to focus on the production of the Radeon RX 9070 XT, while the production of the base Radeon RX 9070 will be gradually reduced.
According to numerous reports, NVIDIA is already adhering to a similar strategy, prioritizing based on profit per gigabyte of video memory — against the backdrop of rising prices and limited memory supplies.
At the same time, AMD does not plan to completely halt the production of the regular RX 9070. However, the share of this model in total shipments will decrease as production capacity is reallocated in favor of the more profitable RX 9070 XT version.
