Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties players are in for a hefty dose of nostalgia — the updated version of the classic installment in the series will add twelve games from the SEGA Game Gear portable console.

- Galaga 2
- G-LOC: Air Battle
- Mappy
- Pac-Man
- Puzlow Kids
- Sonic Chaos (Sonic & Tails)
- Sonic Drift
- Streets of Rage
- The GG Shinobi
- Woody Pop
Moreover, some of these games will support local co-op on a split screen — just like in the original versions.
At the same time, the presence of a portable console does not violate the usual traditions of the series. Yakuza Kiwami 3 will also feature three classic SEGA arcade games — Emergency Call Ambulance, SlashOut and Magical Truck Adventure, which can be launched on slot machines.
SEGA is also preparing a demo version of the updated project. As Sony reported on the PlayStation blog, players will be able to try out Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties before release, but the exact release date of the demo has not yet been announced. The trial version will allow you to evaluate the revised storyline of Yoshitaka Mine, which will become an extension of the original Yakuza 3 story.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties will be released on February 12 on PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2.
