Kouji Okada, the co-founder of Atlus and one of the creators of the Shin Megami Tensei and Persona series, is returning with a new project. Together with Compile Heart and Idea Factory, he is working on a new RPG, the full announcement of which is scheduled for January 29, 2026.
Until then, the project is shrouded in mystery: it has no official name or confirmed platforms. However, judging by the vague teaser trailer posted on YouTube, it is a JRPG in a school setting, combining drama, mysticism, and religious motifs with themes of genetic experiments.
However, it is already known who exactly is working on the game, and the team is impressive. The script is written by Tadashi Satomi, the scriptwriter for Persona and Persona 2. Tsukasa Masuko, the composer of the Shin Megami Tensei series, is responsible for the music. And the character design was entrusted to Ilya Kuvshinov, a Russian artist known for his work on "Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045" and a number of other anime projects.
All details are promised to be revealed at the end of January.
