James Gunn Responds to Rumors About Batman and Wonder Woman Appearing in the "Superman" Sequel
There have been many rumors surrounding "Superman: Legacy", but most of them appear to be nothing more than random guesses.
James Gunn has put an end to rumors that Batman and Wonder Woman will appear in "Superman: Legacy." The head of DC Studios has refuted numerous fan theories and insider reports, stating that the film does not include these characters and focuses exclusively on Superman's story.
"All these rumors about casting Batman and Wonder Woman are false. The main news was Brainiac. Most of the other significant roles are characters that viewers are already familiar with. Casting is currently underway for smaller roles."
The director added that casting is indeed underway for a female role, and this is likely what caused the rumors about Wonder Woman to surface.
"Insiders are trying to guess that it's Wonder Woman. If only because if you guess long enough, sooner or later something might turn out to be true. But I can't recall a single true guess offhand."
The premiere of "Superman: Legacy" in theaters is scheduled for July 9, 2027.
