The Ministry of Digital Development told reporters that the developers of the Russian analogue of Call of Duty will receive support and funding from the Internet Development Institute. This is reported by Gazeta.Ru.
According to estimates, the development budget of such a game may reach 10 billion rubles. The Ministry of Digital Development emphasized that if a corresponding application is submitted to the IRI, the issue of allocating funds will be considered within the framework of the current competitive procedures.
If the IRI receives an application for the allocation of funding for the development of a game on a topic corresponding to that indicated in your letter, it will be considered in the established procedure within the framework of the current competitive mechanisms
The ministry also recalled that game studios can already use government support measures for IT companies. These include a reduced income tax rate of 5%, preferential insurance premium rates, as well as partial exemption from VAT in some cases.
The initiative to create a Russian analogue of Call of Duty was previously put forward by State Duma deputy Mikhail Delyagin, who at the same time called for the series of shooters to be checked for Russophobia.
