In the near future, buyers will notice new "adjustments" to prices in stores.

According to Taiwanese media, NVIDIA has notified its partners of an increase in the cost of video chipsets with GDDR6 and GDDR7 memory.

According to BenchLife, the company increased the cost of GPU + memory kits on January 16. Prices for the graphics processors themselves have not changed, but the increase in the cost of memory is already increasing the cost of video cards for partners. At the same time, NVIDIA's new conditions still look softer compared to AMD's offers, but specific figures are not disclosed.

On January 16, NVIDIA officially notified manufacturing partners of an increase in prices for all GDDR6 and GDDR7 memory kits. The information came from partners familiar to us, but the exact figures are not disclosed. It can only be said that NVIDIA's new prices are still lower than those that AMD announced to its manufacturing partners.

According to the Commercial Times, MSI has already raised the selling prices of GeForce RTX 50 series video cards for distributors. ASUS and Gigabyte are expected to announce their adjustments by the end of the month. We are talking about an increase in purchase prices by about 10-15% — depending on the amount of video memory.

The spot market traditionally reacts first to price fluctuations. The same report says that the changes are already reflected in the spot market in Europe and China: they record an increase of 10-18% for AMD RX 9000 series video cards and 15-20% for RTX 50 models with 16 GB of memory or more. Soon these "adjustments" will be on store shelves and will fall on the shoulders of buyers, further exacerbating the price increase caused by the shortage.
