With less than a year to go before the release of "Avengers: Doctor Doom", Marvel is increasingly fueling interest in its largest crossover. The film already features about 30 characters from different eras and branches of the cinematic universe, so there is increasing discussion online about who else will appear in the film - and who will ultimately miss this Marvel "get-together."
The release of The Graham Norton Show, whose guests were Idris Elba, Martin Freeman and Wunmi Mosaku, gave rise to new conversations. The host asked if they would join the cast of "Avengers: Doctor Doom" - a film in which, according to him, "everyone is already starring." To this, Freeman ironically replied: "Well, apparently not everyone", thereby making it clear that neither he nor his colleagues are involved in the project.
Freeman's absence seems logical: his character Everett Ross is apparently still being held captive by the Skrulls. With Heimdall, played by Elba, the situation is even simpler - the character died, although, as Norton noted, "they all die", and this usually does not prevent Marvel from bringing back heroes.
The possible absence of B-15, performed by Mosaku, raises the most questions. The character heads the Time Variance Authority, and given that the plot of "Doctor Doom" is directly related to the multiverse and Tom Hiddleston is announced in the film, the absence of B-15 seems strange.
However, even such statements by actors do not necessarily put an end to it. Marvel has repeatedly emphasized that it deliberately hides part of the cast until the release, so surprises in "Avengers: Doctor Doom" are still possible. At the same time, these characters are unlikely to be among those whose appearance would make sense to keep secret - if they were involved, it would most likely have already been announced.
