A message has appeared online stating that Grand Theft Auto VI may allegedly be released on Nintendo Switch 2 simultaneously with its release on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
The information was reported by Rhys "Kiwi Talkz" Rielly, citing a source from India who claims that Rockstar is planning to release the game on all platforms on the same day. Rielly himself is skeptical of these rumors and admits that he made a bet with the informant for dinner, being confident that such a release is impossible.
The information contradicts data from other trusted insiders, such as NateTheHate and Nash Weedle. They confirm that Rockstar is testing GTA VI performance on Switch 2 dev kits, but these tests do not mean approval of the port. Even if the game appears on the new console, it will happen significantly later than the official release on other platforms.
Rockstar Games has officially announced that GTA VI will only be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on November 19, 2026. Technical experts, including Digital Foundry, doubt that such a demanding game will be able to run on Nintendo's mobile console without serious cuts to graphics and world density.
