Sony surprised Bravia owners. A new software update adds native support for PS Remote Play, allowing games to be streamed from PS4 and PS5 to the big screen without additional devices - a similar solution has long been available from Xbox.

After installing the update and restarting the TV, the PS Remote Play application icon will appear in the source menu.

The TVs also receive full support for DualSense and DualShock 4 controllers — vibration, adaptive triggers, and all functions work. This is convenient for playing on a large screen in the living room.

The update covers dozens of 2021–2024 models, including the A90J, A80J/L, X95J/L, X90J/L, X85J series, as well as the new A95K and X80WK.

Bravia TVs are becoming entertainment hubs: Remote Play allows you to play remotely from another room or via the Internet. All you need is stable Wi-Fi and an updated PS4/PS5 console.

Sony is taking a step towards deep integration of the PlayStation ecosystem with home appliances. Owners of compatible models can check their settings and download the update.
