Tetris 99 is alive and well: Nintendo releases update
Nintendo has released another update for Tetris 99, showing that even after years, the game continues to be actively supported.
Patch 2.6.0 fixes key gameplay elements and prepares the game for future events. The main focus is on stability and technical improvements: errors affecting online modes have been fixed, and crashes that interfered with battle royale matches have been eliminated.
The update also improves the management of temporary events and special themes. This confirms that Tetris 99 remains an important part of Nintendo Switch Online, and new tournaments and themes are already in development.
Although there are no new modes, the fixes are practical: stable servers and an updated interface make matches smoother, which is critical for a game where reaction speed and accuracy are important.
After six years, Tetris 99 remains one of Nintendo's most unique experiments, and version 2.6.0 confirms the company's intention to develop the game as a long-term service for subscribers.
