Blumhouse Games and Vermila studio have announced the release date for the horror game Crisol: Theater of Idols and presented a new trailer with gameplay footage. The video showcases battles with monsters and the gothic architecture of an alternate Spain.
The project will be a debut for the Spanish team. Crisol is inspired by religious motifs, folklore, and cult series like BioShock and Resident Evil. The events unfold in a dark version of the country called Hispania. The main character, a soldier named Gabriel, goes to the island of Tormentosa to uncover the mystery of the disappearance of the sun god.
Crisol combines elements of a first-person shooter and an adventure horror game. Players will have to explore ruined temples, solve puzzles, avoid invulnerable creatures, and fight the rest using weapons powered by the hero's own blood.
Crisol: Theater of Idols will be released on February 10 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. A demo version of the project is already available on Steam, and a text translation into Russian is also announced.
