A community joke reached the actor who played the role. The actor decided to join the fun.
Recently, a (fictional) "fact" about the game went viral in the Grand Theft Auto V community. Allegedly, if you take another character and start shooting at Franklin's house, at some point the hero will come to defend his home.
The meme is called "Franklin Will Eventually Show Up To Defend His Home" and eventually caught the attention of the actor who played Franklin in GTA V.
Actor Shawn Fonteno posted a photo on social media and captioned it: "I will defend my home. Since it's gone so viral. So guys, who's gonna help me?"
