All eight episodes are now available for viewing.

The new Marvel series "Wonder Man" has premiered on Disney+. The project became the studio's first premiere in 2026 and has already received a warm reception from critics — 90% positive reviews on Rotten Tomatoes and 74 out of 100 on Metacritic.

Reviewers note that instead of the usual superhero formula, the authors focused on satire about Hollywood and the entertainment industry, ridiculing the cult of stardom and the transformation of heroism into commerce.

The main character of the series is actor Simon Williams, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. His character dreams of breaking into Hollywood and getting a superhero role in a big-budget film, but is forced to hide his own superpowers. Another actor helps Williams — Trevor Slattery (Ben Kingsley), familiar to viewers from "Iron Man 3."

Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings", served as director and co-writer. Andrew Guest ("Community") became the second showrunner.

All eight episodes of "Wonder Man" were released simultaneously and are now available for viewing.
