Capcom has released a new patch for the PC version of Monster Hunter Wilds, and judging by initial feedback, this update finally resolves key game performance issues.
Key changes in the patch include optimized texture streaming, which has reduced video memory consumption. CPU load has also been reduced by reducing shader "warm-up" processes performed outside of compilation. In addition, the game features new settings: a separate CPU tab for managing parameters that affect processor load, as well as additional graphics options and updated presets.
Capcom has also fixed an issue where Wilds' performance was tied to the number of DLCs purchased. According to the studio, this was an unintentional error.
