Insider extas1s has revealed the first details of the debut project from Elsewhere Entertainment studio.
The studio owned by Activision, formed several years ago and located in Warsaw, has brought together industry veterans who worked on The Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and The Last of Us. According to leaks, their first project is a third-person open-world RPG aimed at competing with the Grand Theft Auto and Cyberpunk 2077 series.
The game will feature a modern setting with fantasy elements. The combat system is described as dynamic: the emphasis will be on fluid movement with parkour elements, and in battles, players will be able to use firearms, melee weapons, and magic. The project is based on an advanced character attribute system and realistic destruction physics, which should deepen combat and world exploration.
There are also reports of a realistic vehicle handling model, highlighting the project's ambitions compared to Rockstar Games sandboxes. Despite the focus on story and single-player progression, the game will include online features for interaction with other players in the open world. For Microsoft and Activision, this is a chance to launch a major new franchise.
