Hazelight studio head Josef Fares said that he has received the first draft of the script for the Split Fiction adaptation. This became known from a post by Moviezine on Instagram*, where Fares appeared in a video and confirmed that he does indeed have the script in hand.
The developer also stated that he had a chance to speak with Sydney Sweeney, who has one of the roles in the upcoming film. According to Fares, the actress behaves in a "chill" way and is genuinely excited about the future movie.
Plans to make a film based on Split Fiction were officially announced in April 2025, less than two months after the release of the game itself. The screenplay is being handled by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, known for their work on "Deadpool" and "Deadpool & Wolverine."
