Arc System Works will present the interactive story to a new audience.
The interactive novel "Dear me, I was…," previously released exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2, is preparing for release on other platforms. Arc System Works, known for the Guilty Gear and Dragon Ball FighterZ series, announced that the game will arrive on Steam, App Store, and Google Play on February 12, 2026.
"Dear me, I was…" is a short interactive adventure lasting under an hour, combining watercolor aesthetics and rotoscoping technology. The plot tells the story of an unnamed woman’s life, from childhood to old age, including all the joys and losses she encounters along the way. The game is completely devoid of text; however, everything happening on screen is intended to convey the heroine’s emotional state. Players can expect nine chapters united by the themes of growing up and accepting the passage of time.
The artwork is handled by Taisuke Kanasaki, an artist who previously worked on the visual novels Hotel Dusk: Room 215 and Last Window.
