It looks like Team Ninja is preparing to introduce the Nioh series to a new audience - or at least its third installment. The soulslike could arrive on Xbox Series X|S as early as 2026.

On February 6, 2026, Nioh 3 will be released on PC and PS5. The third installment has become a notable step forward for the series: the developers have made the world more open and reworked a number of gameplay elements. The changes are clearly aimed at attracting new players.

From the very beginning, the Nioh series has been promoted by Sony Interactive Entertainment, and the third installment is no exception. A recent video dedicated to the PS5 version confirms this, but it contains a noteworthy detail.

Previously, Nioh was released only on PlayStation and PC. However, the end of the video states that Nioh 3 will be a console exclusive for only six months. The exclusivity period for Sony platforms expires on August 6, 2026, after which the game could theoretically be released on Xbox Series X|S as early as autumn.
