A major update is being prepared for Tekken 8: four seasons, new fighters, and a rank reset

The developers confirmed that the game will once again receive four seasons with new content. They are meant to encourage the purchase of the annual pass, which will become available on February 10, 2026.

The first pack will be released in late spring, and its key character will be Kunimitsu. Later, a new costume pack will be added to the game.

The following seasons are expected to bring back familiar fighters. In summer, Bob from Tekken 6 and Tekken 7 will join the roster, and in autumn Roger Jr. will appear. The fourth character will be released in winter, but the name has not yet been revealed — instead, a new map is scheduled for release during the same period.

The project's second year of development turned out to be uneven, so the team decided to show that Tekken 8 is moving onto a stable course. In the coming months, the game will receive not only new characters, but also important changes, including a balance overhaul and a full rank reset.
