Moderators carefully review materials before games are released.
A large number of games are released on Steam, and it may seem that the service lets \"everything\" through. However, in reality, a moderation system is still in place.
Publisher No More Robots recently spoke about its experience interacting with Valve:
Until the very end, it was unclear whether we would be allowed to release Earth Must Die on Steam at all — Valve representatives said that they \"could not understand the context of the 'alien orgy'\". We had to send them a video recording of this scene for review.
Valve specialists reviewed the submitted materials, and the check was passed — No More Robots said that the \"orgy was approved\".
As a result, Earth Must Die was successfully released on Steam, and the game received \"very positive\" player reviews. This point-and-click game tells the story of an alien who, together with his robot nanny, plans to destroy Earth.
