The co-op shooter Helldivers 2 has received update 6.0.0.0, which added the heavy "Bastion" tank to the game, known to fans from the first installment. The developers had previously hinted that transport and combat vehicles from the original Helldivers would eventually make their way to the sequel, and now that promise has begun to come true.
The vehicle is designed for coordinated team play: powerful armor, large-caliber weaponry, and the ability to break through fortified positions make the tank a key tool in the fight for "managed democracy." The "Bastion" crew consists of four people: a driver, a gunner, and two passengers who can climb out of the turret hatches to fire at enemy infantry trying to attack the tank.
In addition, in the update, High Command is sending the forces of Super Earth deeper into enemy territory, to the very heart of automaton holdings. As part of the operation called "Just Cause," the Helldivers must liberate Cyberstan from the automatons in order to stop the development of weapons threatening Super Earth.
