The market is already as overheated as it can be, but nothing is stopping manufacturers.

According to industry sources, AMD, following NVIDIA, is going to focus on graphics card models with 8 GB of memory while simultaneously preparing for another price increase on graphics processors.

As market participants report, AMD partners already raised prices on Radeon graphics cards by about 5–10% in January, but this apparently was only the beginning. A second price increase is expected in the coming weeks or next month, with the goal of bringing Radeon pricing closer to NVIDIA solutions. As a result, the RX 9000 lineup risks becoming noticeably less affordable, especially in the mid-range segment.

If the partners' plans are implemented, models such as the Radeon RX 9060 XT and RX 9070 / 9070 XT could rise significantly in price. The market already looks overheated as it is: for example, the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti with 16 GB of memory is already selling for nearly $700. Against this background, the Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB still looks like a better deal for now — in a number of stores it can be found in the $400–500 range. However, with a new round of price increases, AMD may quickly lose this advantage.
