Could Nioh 3 appear on Nintendo Switch 2? There has been no official announcement yet, but more and more signs indicate that Team Ninja is considering such a scenario.
The change of console generation has made this topic relevant. In 2022, the developers spoke about hardware limitations that made the original Switch unsuitable for the series. Now the situation has changed: Switch 2 offers higher performance, sufficient to run the demanding Nioh 3 without serious compromises.
An additional factor is the game's six-month exclusivity on selected platforms. After it ends, Team Ninja will gain the freedom to choose new platforms, and a version for Switch 2 would logically fit into the summer release window.
The strategy of expanding platform coverage is already delivering results. The Nioh 3 demo on PC attracted more than 39 thousand concurrent players, almost matching Nioh 2's figure. This indicates growing interest in the series and higher commercial potential for the new installment.
