Sega expects Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds to sell another one million copies in fiscal year 2026, which ends on March 31, 2027.
According to Sega, the game received "high marks across all ratings" and "sold more than 1 million copies worldwide." The figures include physical editions, digital sales, and sales across all available platforms.
The company highlighted feedback from critics and players: CrossWorlds scored more than 80 points on Metacritic and received a positive rating on Steam.
The company stated:
Initial performance did not meet our expectations, and we aim to sell approximately another 1 million copies in this fiscal year.
To support this goal, the company plans to encourage long-term player engagement through ongoing content updates and additional DLC, as well as collaborations with other intellectual properties.
The game was released on September 25, 2025, for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
